The upcoming picture will be Nolan\u2019s 12th feature film, following world famous classics such as \u2018Interstellar\u2019, \u2018Inception\u2019, and the \u2018Dark Knight\u2019 trilogy. This also marks the 25th year of Nolan\u2019s directing career – he first started out with the indie film \u2018Following\u2019 at the turn of the 20th century in 1998. The British-American filmmaker first announced the film in September 2021, with filming starting in February the next year. \u2018Oppenheimer\u2019 is based on the biography, \u2018American Prometheus\u2019, released in 2005 by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. Now, Universal are giving audiences more insight into what the film will be like, with this new featurette, titled \u2018Pushing the Button\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 6-minute long featurette features a different range of production material; film clips, interviews with production staff and actors, behind-the-scenes clips, etc. These combine to give an excellent impression of what\u2019s yet to come; our first bit of information on the film since its teaser trailer was released in May has been an interesting look into not only the film itself, but the production that went into it. \u2018Oppenheimer\u2019 releases on the 21st of July – note that this is the same day as the \u2018Barbie\u2019 romcom, so audiences can pick their poison when they come out in theatres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
