If like us you use Canva<\/a> in your work and day to day life, then you might be interested in hearing about the incredible deal they have snagged. The visual software company, which started in Australia back in 2013 and has since taken over the world, has announced they’ve signed partnerships with Warner Music Group<\/a> and Merlin<\/a>, to allow Canva customers use music clips in their designs.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With these deals, Canva will become the first visual design platform to add commercially released music clips at the point of creation for content that can be shared across multiple platforms. Later this year, the libraries of Warner Music Group (including Warner Recorded Music and Warner Chappell Music) and Merlin will be made available for Canva Pro, Canva for Education and Canva for Nonprofit customers to add music clips to their designs, with small teams using Canva for Teams to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Canva, labels and artists can get their music \u201cin front of millions of engaged creators\u201d in the UK, U.S., Canada, Europe, Brazil and Australia, as well as earning royalties when clips of their songs are used in published Canva designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the deal, Silvia Oviedo, Canva\u2019s head of content, discovery and print said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMusic is such a fundamental expression of creativity, and offers an inspirational starting point for many. We are thrilled to welcome Warner Music Group and Merlin to the Canva content ecosystem, and can\u2019t wait to see what millions of music fans, content creators, educators and beyond design using content from their favourite artists.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

As well as using popular songs in videos or carousels for social media, Canva customers will also be able to add clips from their favourite tracks to presentations, internal training videos, educational videos and much much more. They recently launched Beat Sync, a tool in the Canva editor which helps users to match their video footage to the beat of a selected soundtrack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, exports of Canva designs using TikTok templates have more than tripled in the last year; overall, the number of videos created on Canva has increased 70% in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessica Goldenberg, WMG’s senior VP of digital strategy and business development added,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The free online visual communications and collaboration platform made it their mission to empower everyone in the world to design. With their easy to use drag-and-drop interface, as well as seemingly endless range of templates, users are able to make a multitude of creations – from presentations, documents, websites, social media graphics, posters, apparel, and videos – using Canva’s huge library of fonts, stock photography, illustrations, video footage, and audio clips.
