Sonarpilot’s latest single, ‘Quantum Factory’ is an industrial soundscape whose impact is heightened by the music video of frequent collaborator, fractal artist Roger Mader.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With industrial techno-beats, filled with futuristic synths and a cinematic atmosphere, ‘Quantum Factory’ captivates the listener, drawing them into Sonarpilot’s world of fantasy electronica. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sonarpilot, the alter ego of producer and digital designer Michael Moppert, is nothing if not prolific. His new single, ‘Quantum Factory’, is the next instalment in his long-running ‘The Mirage Project’, and the fifth in season 2, which has seen him joined by London-based DJ, Jonny Miller. With his genre-bending soundscapes, Sonarpilot takes the listener on a sonic voyage that is fully complemented by Mader’s visual, which could easily find its way into a sci-fi film or tv show: think Blade Runner, Star Wars, or even Doctor Who. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not as long as some of Sonarpilot’s previous releases – and yet still nearly 5 minutes long – ‘Quantum Factory’ focuses on “Unleashing the Power of Superintelligent Matter”, taking us on a journey into the very essence of our existence. We are taken beyond the depths of our experience, and into a world of the sub-atomic future, one which envisions a world where humanity has truly harnessed the quantum realm, and nanobots exist in multiple states while assembling parts in the factory at whirlwind speed. The concept of ‘Quantum Factory’ is that advanced AI systems have been fused with nanotechnology, binging about the phenomenon of superintelligent matter. It’s able to continually adapt its structure and composition according to its surroundings, and perform at an optimal level – much like a living creature. It’s a scary concept, and could very well be our future – but rather than worrying about it, we should just sit back and enjoy the incredible creations of Sonarpilot and Roger Mader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
