Starting with guitar lessons at the age of 13, when she could be found singing Taylor Swift and Sam Hunt, she soon discovered her knack for writing the earworming tracks she releases today.

With heartfelt emotion and immaculate storytelling, Daisy Briggs’ new EP, ‘Nice Knowing You’, serves as a primer for anyone new to the artist’s style, and the title track sees Daisy at her finest.

Daisy’s talent, charm, and authenticity has resonated with her listeners, who count themselves as among her 111K plus followers on Instagram alone. They’re sure to lap up ‘Nice Knowing You’, which takes all that she’s learned from her years of playing Taylor Swift songs, and pours it out with unapologetic vulnerability. Daisy declares her self-confident independence in a break-up anthem that will see many take it on board as their own, and she lays it down over a moody stripped-back groove.

The music video for ‘Nice Knowing You’, directed by Ryan Nolan, takes the song and adds a further dimension to it. Each scene of the clip sees the story unfold of a previous relationship; walks along the beach, bonfires with friends, dinners together – where the calm atmosphere gives way to pain, and fighting. It’s a fine example of Briggs’ approach to songwriting: not everything in life needs to be beautiful, nor does it need to be seen through a filter.

Watch the music video for ‘Nice Knowing You’
