Released on May 12, ‘Made It Out Alive’ is the debut single from talented UK artist, Glen Murphy. Best known as being one half of dance duo, Twist And Pulse, Murphy is now setting out as a solo singer songwriter, and his new single is a poignant and moving ballad, set against an upbeat pop instrumental.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

‘Made It Out Alive’ is Glen Murphy’s “open letter to the world”, and serves as a deep dive and revelation of the artist’s battle with his mental health. Written two years ago, after he had undergone an agonising break-up, and the loss of a close friend to suicide, all while nursing his dying granddad – and at the same time competing in the UK’s biggest tv talent contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The single puts down in words Glen’s struggle to balance the heartbreak of his personal issues with the tv spotlight; the dark times he went through, and the strength of character that took him to put a smile back on his face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘It conveys the message that we can and will overcome difficult moments, and we can look back hopeful of a better tomorrow knowing that we ‘Made It Out Alive’. Mental health is still one of the biggest killers of men today. My hope is that this campaign will ignite the conversation and give men a simple platform to take their first step in talking about how their mental health is affecting them.’<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

‘Made It Out Alive’ shares a crucial message with an uplifting anthem, spreading across the community that we are not alone – no matter how desperate feel, there is always someone out there to talk to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a catchy pop melody and incredible storytelling, ‘Make It Out Alive’ is a masterful release from the talented South East London singer songwriter, and marks a stunning entry into his solo career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
