Shaheed and DJ Supreme keep pumping out the jams, all the while helping draw attention to and giving much assistance to the needs of their local community. Their new single and video, ‘The Art Of Throwing Darts’, features Slug, from Atmosphere, and it’s a great track and fitting title from their upcoming album.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Using their gifts to inspire future generations, Shaheed and DJ Supreme are the absolute role models when it comes to using their creativity and craft to educate and communicate. Their undying passion to improve society has been evident since the early 2000s, from which time they started using their musical gifts to address contemporary issues such as the environment, local causes, and giving a voice to those who aren’t otherwise able to be heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaheed and DJ Supreme have collaborated with many other musical talents over the years, including Raekwon, and Brother Ali. Now they’re teaming up with Slug, a member of Atmosphere, a group they’ve worked with before in the past. DJ Supreme’s production talents and Shaheed’s incredible flow find their match in Slug’s lyrical finesse, ensuring that ‘The Art Of Throwing Darts’ is an accurate reflection of the group’s talents, their respect for hip hop, and their focus on themes of significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘The Art Of Throwing Darts’ opens with an introduction to all three, before interspersing with clips of the group giving a live performance, playing darts, and standing next to a brick wall, busting out rhymes. Set against a super catchy instrumental, the lyrics are touching and deeply felt, such as the refrain, “guard your face, guard your neck, you should guard your heart”. It’s so much than just a song about playing darts – it’s about self awareness, self care, and basically showing respect and love to one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
