Laforren, from Stockton California, not too far removed from the San Francisco Bay area, is set to put his hometown on the map with his new single, ‘Outsyder’. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Growing up with the legacy of his father, who danced behind the likes of MC Hammer, and worked with others at Scarface Records, Laforren knows just what it takes to make it in the music industry. He turned away from the world of dance at the age of 16, and decided instead to start writing raps, taking inspiration from all over the place – Tupac, podcasts, and his life experiences picked up as he drove semi-trailers across the country, coast to coast. Along the way he made connections with producers who helped him refine his craft; he got the insider knowledge, while still remaining an outsider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The title for his new single, ‘Outsyder’, is a declaration. Laforren has arrived on the scene, and he’s not intending to leave anytime soon. He doesn’t hold back as he lays down his rapid fire rhymes over a hard-hitting beat, with lyrics that not only effectively convey his position as outsider, they also show him as someone who is open to experiment beyond the bounds of genre or musical style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘Outsyder’, directed by Johnny Hits, from Red Eyes Flix, and produced by SlowMotion Haz, allows the viewer a glimpse inside Loforren’s life in Stockton. We take a stroll through Stockton, and as we go we find Laforren in the town square, at midnight, where he takes the form of a demon, an angel, and indeed, death, as he spits his bars hard and fast. At the end of video he’s spirited away by a spaceship, whereupon he is free to take his place among the stars – and rightfully so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
