Set for release on March 9, ‘Good’ is the new single from RnB artist Kassandra Idi. The track makes good use of Kassandra’s Democratic Republic of The Congo heritage, as well as time spent living in Nantes, Lille, and London, and sees her singing in French, English, and Lingala.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Short and sweet at just under 2 and a half minutes long, ‘Good’ nonetheless is able to convey Kassandra’s heartfelt emotions while taking the listener on a journey into her mind and thoughts. Kassandra’s mission with her sound it to express her unique “essence” through her music and she certainly does this with ‘Good’. Describing herself as a, “millennial with an understanding of the idea of the societies we live in”, Kassandra’s intent for ‘Good’ was to express her negative emotions, but give them a positive twist, and show that regardless of what hardships may face us, we can get through them with determination and perseverance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about ‘Good’, Kassandra says,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It\u2019s possible to feel opposite emotions at the same time, we are humans, we are fluid, emotional and rational creatures. It\u2019s a chemical balance. This is what \u2018Good<\/strong>\u2019 is about.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The singer, songwriter, artist, and producer is certainly one to look out for – ‘Good’ is a deceptively simple track, with Kassandra’s light RnB vocals laid over a minimalist keyboard and percussion instrumental, but the lyrics are deeper and convey much more meaning; prosaic rather than poetic, the listener is made to feel that they are privy to Kassandra’s innermost thoughts. There’s also a nice homage to the Dionne Warwick classic, ‘I Say A Little Prayer’, opening up the idea of wanting to hear what Kassandra could do with that song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
