Once upon a time an independent rapper released his latest song. Without even realising it, a successful musician heard it, and loved it. The famous artist sought out the creator, and invited him to collaborate.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This isn’t a fairy tale, but the true story of what happened to Liberian artist, Life Change. Also known as Prince Korfeh, his talents were recognised by well-known Nigerian singer B Red, and the track they’ve collaborated on, ‘Hit The Spot’, was produced by Beetovin Nackit. The song comes with a great video too, directed by Life Change himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life Change’s style is characterised by irresistible afro beats, and his sound derives from his professional DJ background. His lyrical finesse has come from years of practice. He started at an early age rapping over beats for his friends, who even now are among his most dedicated supporters. Life Change’s talent has put Liberia on the map so far as rap music goes, and this is something B Red realised too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before their collaboration had even started, Life Change had the perfect beat and lyrics already in mind. It was then up to Red to produce a killer hook, and together the pair created something truly magical. With inspiration from the likes of 50 Cent, and Wale, they brought in the tempo from 50s track, ‘Candy Shop’, and the narrative for ‘Hit The Spot’ is similar to the classic song. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The duo certainly didn’t mess around when it came to ‘Hit The Spot’. They managed to record and master the track, and film the video all in the same day, using the resources at hand, such as the recording studio itself, an Airbnb, and a hotel room. The end result is a joyous clip that’s just as professional looking as any that have taken months to create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
