Released 17 February, ‘Come On (Up For Air)’ is the brand new single from Versonic. The five piece rock band from Epsom, Surrey, find their inspiration in the likes of Oasis, and Noel Gallagher, but nonetheless have their very own sound and style. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opening with a thrumming bass, ‘Come On (Up For Air)’ is a certified bop from clearly very talented artists. The driving drums and powerful guitars combine with the bass to lay down the perfect instrumental for the vocalists – nobody overpowers anyone else, all are given equal weight and attention in a truly democratic distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bridge comes in beautifully at about the 3\/4 mark, with the guitars scaling up and down the fretboards in a rather pleasurable manner. Clearly gorgeous and melodic, ‘Come On (Up For Air)’ is a song that you’ll have no regrets in playing over and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontman Stephen Connor took inspiration for the song from motivational speaker Mel Robbins, who said, “YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS LOUD AND CLEAR: NO ONE IS COMING. NO ONE. IT’S UP TO YOU”. From there, he worked alongside co-writer and producer Alan Smith at Crunch Studios, in Carshalton, coming up with the finished track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘I had the idea of writing about one of the harsh realities of life in that no one is coming, no one. No one is looking for you, no one is going to push you, no one’s going to do it for you – if you want to achieve anything in life, and in particular, go after and realise your dreams, you are going to have to do it for yourself.
