‘Home To You’ is the heartfelt new single from Atlanta folk band,\u00a0Graham And The Band Upstairs. Released on February 3, the group takes inspiration from the likes of Bob Dylan\u00a0and\u00a0Neil Young, imbuing it with their own touch, resulting in a bittersweet track with immense depth of feeling.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Headed by Graham Waldrop, Graham And The Band Upstairs combine introspective lyrics with wide-ranging melodies, producing a cohesive blend of folk, blues, and rock. The band are set to release their debut album, ‘Turning Magic On Its Heels’ later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Home To You’ presents like poetry, with Waldrop’s soothing baritone supported by acoustic strings and female backing vocals provided by Veronica Roman. There’s also a steel guitar in the mix, the end result being an enjoyable and touching track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the band’s music, Waldrop said,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I\u2019ve always liked songs that feature juxtaposition. Girl by The Beatles is one of the finest examples of this where the melody and Lennon\u2019s vocals creates this sweet bed of breathing grass that you want to just wrap yourself up in. But when you actually listen to the lyrics you realize that the song is anything but sweet. There\u2019s a bitterness behind the lyricism that creates this incredible contrast with the music.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s what we tried to do with Home To You. We tell a story about someone navigating a complex relationship while Jeff (Jeff Dei Dolori, our lead guitarist) hooks the audience in with these fantastic, ethereal guitar licks and Veronica (Veronica Roman, our backing vocalist) and I try to evoke a similar sweetness with our vocals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a song I hope has a lot of replay value where someone could hear it one way, listen to it again, and then come away with a completely different perspective on the narrative of the song.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
