Up-and-coming young talent Zak has already had one hit single with his Christmas debut \u2018Christmas Time With You\u2019<\/em>. Aiming for another with his next single, \u2018My Girl\u2019,<\/em> we talked to Zak to see what it\u2019s about.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Hello Zak. It\u2019s great to have you here today; how has your week been so far? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My week has been great so far! Organising everything for exciting things that we have coming up!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are big fans of your new track \u2018My Girl\u2019; how are you feeling ahead of its release?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am feeling super excited! I\u2019ve been looking forward to this release for a while, so it\u2019s really cool that it\u2019s finally happening. We have some great people behind the release, and the video was super fun to shoot!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about it made you decide to have it as one of your first releases?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the very first one that we wrote and recorded, and even when we were in the studio on the day, we knew that it was something special. There was no question about it. It has to be the first single!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you always wanted to be a musician?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes. I have always been interested in music from a very young age. I\u2019ve never really had any other interests other than music.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What artists do you look up to?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I look up to artists that have only been around for 5-10 years to artists that have been on the scene for 50-60 years. Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have been huge influences on the album. But I\u2019ve always been into older music like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, so they are influences also!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any songs you can\u2019t stop listening to at the moment?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lewis Capaldi\u2019s new track \u2018pointless\u2019<\/em> is a really good one. I\u2019m listening to that one a lot at the moment. I am also listening to a lot of Ed Sheeran\u2019s songs at the moment, especially \u2018Bad Habits\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Shivers\u2019<\/em> from his newest album \u2018=\u2019<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you got more plans for future releases already?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes. We already have the next single after \u2018My Girl\u2019<\/em> is done. We just need to complete some final finishing touches and shoot a video, and that will be good to go!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘My Girl’<\/em> is out on February 17th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
