Christian artists The Cofields have been blessed and want to share it with everyone in a call to acknowledge the place of the faithful as royalty, being children of God The King. The name of their new single, ‘Royalty’, not only harks to this call but is also the name of their baby girl, who features in the music video.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Directed by Raymond Anderson, the video for ‘Royalty’ opens on Calvin Cofield and his wife Kimberly Rice-Cofield, as well as several backing vocalists. Calvin starts rapping his testimony of faith, telling his life story in fiery verses, declaring the healing power of God, and his determination to resist temptation. He wears a pendant around his neck which, at the minute mark or thereabouts, we see that it’s inscribed, “Jesus Over Everything”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kimberly comes in with her verse, a touching retelling of how they were unable to start a family due to PCOS, but their love and faith in God, as well as a prophecy that they would become parents buoyed them up; this promise was fulfilled, and they were blessed with daughter Royalty Michelle, as well as a loving marriage, and some material comforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their vocal styles complement each other, and in ‘Royalty’ they’re joined by award-winning producer, singer and songwriter, Luke G, who provides a contagious hook, calling out for all nations to put aside their differences and wrongdoing, and join together in righteousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Royalty’ is a catchy blend of hip-hop, gospel, R&B, and contemporary pop, and was co-produced by Calvin Cofield and Kimberly Rice-Cofield alongside Todd “Throne Muzik” Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
