St Louis rapper has all the swagger, skill, and enticing wordplay to get the prize he’s after with his latest rap single, ‘I Feel’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘I Feel’, directed by Real Woosie, sees the object of his affections enter his store. She’s been teasing him, adding him to her friends list, but the problem is – she’s with someone else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rather than being put off by this, DMF Musa is instead inspired. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sings, “You must be bored with your man – I’m exciting”. He makes his play – despite her fella knowing what he’s doing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DMF Musa knows how to tell a story and he packs a fine tale into ‘I Feel’. The high emotions and hurt feelings are all there, mixed with the wounded pride of the jilted lover, the game playing of the two-timing girl, and the heartfelt secret love of DMF Musa himself. He croons and he rhymes, but he knows what he’s doing – his flow might be sweet and mellifluous but he gets straight to the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story is told set against a beat that’s been augmented by synths, the production just enough to amplify the emotion in his voice. This follows through in the clip for ‘I Feel’, where we see all of DMF Musa’s emotions, as well as feel them. He goes through them all – arousal, irritation, anger, confusion, curiosity, and in the end – victory. That’s not to say he overacts; on the contrary, he is able to share how he’s feeling with the very subtlest of movements, be it a lifting of his eyebrows, or a certain tilt of the head. While the action is all going on in the store, it seems that the main event is going on in DMF Musa’s mind, and we are left not entirely sure as to whether he gets the girl or not – but one thing we’re certain of, it’s not for lack of trying!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
