Tim Snider, front man of the magnificently named Wolfgang Timber, is a multi-instrumentalist whose talents are spread far and wide between violin, guitar, and warm and welcoming vocals. In his latest single, ‘By Your Side’, it’s the violin he favours, as he stands atop a stump on the edge of a forest.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Those who have seen Tim in action onstage, whether it be at Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, or Byron Bay Blues, or opening for Zac Brown, Dispatch, Xavier Rudd, or Rebelution, will already know his passion, his inventiveness, his flexibility, and his remarkable dexterity, and that Snider is the sort of musician who can somehow manage to put together a whole folk-rock symphony, entirely composed of passages, before following it up with a composition of incredible simplicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His latest single, ‘By Your Side’, captures Snider’s trademark style, with its immensely catchy and effortlessly winning rhythmic and harmonic elements that’s he’s learned by studying folk traditions from around the globe. ‘By Your Side’ serves as a showcase for his musical skills, with every downstroke perfectly placed to enhance the meaning of the song. The message is one of radical compassion, acceptance, dedication, and the enduring power of togetherness.
