Angela Moss Poole has the voice of an angel, so it may come as a surprise to learn that she never intended to become a public performer. She had been writing sons for as long as she could remember for her personal use, and then 15 years ago, her mother sent some of her songs to songwriting competitions – unbeknownst to Angela. From there it was no looking back – she started winning awards and prizes for her creations and would have to sing in front of some of the biggest names in the music industry. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It’s not just Angela’s mother we have to thank, but also her son, whose own interest and involvement in music led her to share her talent beyond the four walls of her church. In the three years since Angela first started taking herself seriously as a non-traditional faith-based artist, she’s peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Gospel Indicator charts, with ‘You Deserve’, in 2019, and ‘My Help’ sat on the top spot for 5 weeks after its release last year. Now Angela Moss Poole is taking the next step, with her self-titled album. Lead single, ‘Speak To The Mountain’, is out now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Speak To The Mountain’ sees Angela Moss Poole team up with Grammy and Dove Award winning producer, Fred Jerkins. The song is based on the New Testament verse, Mark 11:23, which includes words of encouragement for everyone to have faith and be unafraid to turn to God when they especially need his help and guidance. Angela’s voice is powerful, while her words are convincing, as she shares the Gospel. She is ably assisted by the outstanding supporting vocalists, whose harmonies are mesmerising, and the instrumental has a pop and jazz-influenced groove with its horns, guitar riffs, and rolling drums. The song tells of God’s people overcoming any struggles and challenges in their way – by speaking it to the mountain, which is of course symbolic of God: an immovable source of stability, and dependability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accompanying music video for ‘Speak To The Mountain’ sees everyone having an absolute blast as they declare their faith. Shot in both the studio and natural surroundings, it’s a pure reflection of the gift given to them by God, and the embodiment of the words, “You can do impossible things if you believe”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
