Out today, ‘Infinite Stars’ is the new single from Daniel Cartier Loves You. An absolute bop of a track that will have you dancing from the very first note, it comes from the alter ego of Daniel Cartier.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It’s pointless to even try and resist the pull of ‘Infinite Stars’ – it sweeps the listener up right from the start and doesn’t let go until the it’s finished. It’s a departure from the folk fans will know Cartier for, but despite this it’s also one that they won’t help but love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best known for singing folk songs in the subway, Daniel Cartier was famously signed by Elton John to his Rocket Records label, for which he recorded his highly acclaimed album, ‘Avenue A’. He however has always had a soft spot for 80s synth pop, as well as electronica, and hypnotic dance music, and ‘Infinite Stars’ serves to address that love, as well as paying tribute to his own formative years – when Cartier first moved to New York City in the 90s, as a “shy, gay club kid”, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I spent countless nights dancing to classic\u00a0dance floor gems of the 1980s and 1990s when I was a young club kid. Those old house music tracks inspired the dreamy vibe that ‘Infinite Stars’ has”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an opening beat that will remind listeners of the music of Giorgio Moroder, ‘Infinite Stars’ cleverly matches ethereal vocals to synth arpeggios, and deep driving basslines and drum rhythms. Daniel makes good use of vintage drum machines as well as retro synths, thus increasing the 80s feel of the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Cartier recorded ‘Infinite Stars’ at home in his studio in McEwen, Tennessee, with his four rescue dogs sleeping at his feet. Outside of music, animals are close to Daniel’s heart, and his dogs are all rescues, with some being blind, and others deaf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Infinite Stars’ is from Daniel Cartier Loves You’s upcoming album, ‘Mix Tape Summer’, which is set for release in March next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
