Out now, ‘Zone’ is the latest release from Elijah William, a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, from Fort Worth, Texas. The song’s theme is of a toxic relationship, told with a fusion of synths and trap beats, creating a futuristic sound, with hints of nostalgia. ‘Zone’ is accompanied by a music video, which further accentuates the dichotomy of past and future.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

‘Zone’ sees Elijah William blend his unique pop\/hip hop style with thudding trap beats. His fast-paced lyric delivery is laid seamlessly over the instrumental, as he tells the story of a partner who uses him for his money, while at the same time makes excuses for behaving in a cold and detached manner. The music video for ‘Zone’ is a first for William, who normally makes use of actors, storyboard, and camera crew, but this time he has chosen to focus on the lyrics. He raps in the clip against a flashing neon background, the only accessory being an expensive car. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elijah William was inspired to write ‘Zone’ after hearing a catchy run on a piano, during a jam session. With the addition of syncopated drums, it took just the addition of his free flowing experimental lyrics to bring the track to completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
