Back in the 80s you knew what to expect if someone was described as a “Valley Girl”. Young women from the San Fernando Valley of California, who spoke with the low-pitched rough or creaking sound that’s come to be known as vocal fry. Mostly from the middle-class socio-economic group, Valley Girls were known for their materialistic consumption habits, and could often be found hanging out at the mall.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Now malls are pretty much a thing of the past, and so are Valley Girls; but the San Fernando Valley is still very much a place, and perhaps the time has come for the subculture to be rebranded, as something more positive, one that’s about pure dedication and the hustle, rather than a reliance on others to pay for the excesses. Jazz From The Valley thinks it’s definitely time, and she pays homage to her San Fernando roots with her stage name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking her inspiration from the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Teyana Taylor, and Gwen Stefani, Jazz From The Valley writes infectious pop\/hip hop songs, which showcase both her determination and her fiery personality. Jazz brings something fresh and new to the scene, and her latest single, ‘Shake That’ shows her talent at being able to craft something truly mesmerising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Valley lifestyle is still as classy as it was back in the day, and Jazz From The Valley is here to say that they still know how to have fun as well. ‘Shake That’, with its rapid fire bars and energetic beat is guaranteed to get everyone up on the floor, as Jazz sings about letting loose with her besties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘Shake That’ takes its inspiration from the clips of the early oughts, albeit with a slightly more raunchy twist.
