Can you dig it! Back in 2019, two old school friends met each other by chance, and decided to get together and make beautiful music. Despite the covid-19 pandemic scuttling their plans slightly, they nonetheless kept it up via zoom calls and sending audio files back and forth – leading to Cats Can’t Clap, and their new single ‘Good Thing’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A modern breakbeat sound (and dare we say neo Jazz?), ‘Good Thing’ is a bop and a half, with a repeated keyboard line steadily keeping the beat, along with hard hitting drums, pounding bass, trilling horns, and gorgeous vocals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite having gone to university and following separate careers (one as a physiotherapist, the other in marketing), the chemistry of Cats Can’t Clap is undeniable, and their sound is as engaging as it is catchy.
