For much of Albert Artis’s childhood he was in church, constantly surrounded by gifted singers and musicians sharing the Word of God through music. As a child he sang gospel songs with his siblings, and now he performs in the choir as an adult. He didn’t stop there however, having been directed into songwriting by his former pastor and renowned entertainer Candi Staton. He wrote ‘I Feel Your Love’ seven years ago, and now he finally feels the time is right to share his music with anyone who wants to feel acceptance for who they are. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

‘I Feel Your Love’ initially came about during a prophetic service while Albert was leading the worship in Church. The pastor asked him to sing, “like a wave of the sea”, and the line stayed in Albert’s mind, serving as the kernel for a song. It continued marinating in his mind, until one day he felt the lyrics come to fruition all at once, and ‘I Feel Your Love’ was born. Produced by Candi Staton’s son, Marcus Williams, ‘I Feel Your Love’ conveys with it the important message that the love of God is freely given, and doesn’t have to be earned by our actions, because we matter in God’s eyes. Speaking of the song, Albert says, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I really began to learn God loves me not because of what I do, not because of how great I am or how good I am; he loves me because he’s God.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That line about the waves of the sea forms the setting of the music video for ‘I Feel Your Love’, which was shot by the ocean. Albert and his backing vocalists are shown dressed in white as they share their message. Marcus Williams and director Brian Washington took Albert’s vision and shaped it into reality, and the artist’s unwavering faith and devotion to God is crystal clear through both song and visual.
