She&#8217;s just been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize for her second album, &#8216;One Breath&#8217;.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Calvi&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Anna-Calvi\/dp\/B004BUUL04\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eponymous first album<\/a> also picked up a nomination back in 2011.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Random Ad stuff --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2076862002005673\" data-ad-slot=\"3107208401\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/anna-calvi\/79724\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NME<\/a>, Anna admitted she was a bit scared of supporting Morrissey:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to the challenge of supporting Morrissey. I\u2019m a huge fan of <a class=\"artistLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/the-smiths\">The Smiths<\/a> and it\u2019s going to be an experience. I\u2019m a bit scared of playing the O2 and it\u2019s slightly daunting, as I\u2019ve never played arenas before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe offer to support Morrissey came directly from him and his people, so I\u2019m very honoured. I\u2019ll put everything into it. I\u2019ve done some difficult gigs before, so I\u2019ve earned my stripes to play arenas now.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She went on to describe her feelings at being nominated for the prestigious award:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt feels really amazing to be nominated for both my albums. The first time was a surprise, and you don\u2019t get expect to get two nominations. I feel incredibly lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Morrissey&#8217;s European tour now commences 23 November at the Columbiahalle, Berlin, before moving onto the Colosseum in Essen on the 24th.
