Well if not, you might soon, if Linda Martin has any say in the matter!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Martin, close friend and sometime colleague of Louis Walsh, has put her pop group of 3 boys and 2 girls through the UK&#8217;s XFactor, where Louis just happens to be a judge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She assembled the group with the help of former Jedward choreographer, Stuart O&#8217;Connor. You might remember him from a couple of years back as the mentor of Irish Eurovision entry, Ryan Dolan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another familiar face is Alan McGrath, one of SyngStreet&#8217;s boys, who played a mean drum on stage with Dolan in 2013. He too has Jedward connections, having been one of their dancers for a number of years.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Random Ad stuff --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2076862002005673\" data-ad-slot=\"3107208401\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Linda and Stuart came up with the idea for the new group when attending the auditions for Louis&#8217; boy band, HomeTown. She told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evoke.ie\/linda-is-getting-lucky-eurovision-winner-linda-martin-picks-her-own-s-club-wannabes-to-bring-back-bubble-gum-pop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Evoke.ie<\/a> that she saw lots of &#8220;superstars&#8221; turned away because Louis wanted a &#8220;serious boy band&#8221;. Walsh told her she should look out for an Irish &#8220;Steps&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018I never thought of becoming a manager until Louis said it to me that day,\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irishmirror.ie\/showbiz\/irish-showbiz\/linda-martin-set-battle-out-3109237\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Irish Mirror<\/a> Martin said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLast year, Louis was holding auditions for his new band and we were involved in those as they went through the call backs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnd there was some astounding talent in so many forms. And Louis has made his decision &#8211; as we came to the end of the decision, and Louis was whittling down the numbers, he was looking for voices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHe was looking for particular types of voices, and at one point he turned around to me and said, \u2018Put a boy-girl band together.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI said, \u2018Well if it\u2019s such a good idea why don\u2019t you do it?\u2019 And he said, \u2018I\u2019m not working with girls \u2013 they\u2019re too high maintenance. But you do it\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">O&#8217;Connor told the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.ie\/star\/linda-martin-reveals-pop-group-line-up-48485\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Irish Daily Star<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe saw all these really talented young guys and we\u2019ve heard that there\u2019s a gap in the market for another Steps-style band. So we\u2019ve decided to go for it,\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With Louis Walsh fully supporting them in their venture right from the start, it&#8217;s no surprise the 5-piece flew through their Edinburgh audition last month straight into Boot Camp.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Will SyngStreet have the staying power of their compatriots, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/planetjedward\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jedward<\/a>? Only time will tell. Just yesterday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesun.ie\/irishsol\/homepage\/news\/5800681\/Jedward-are-in-at-number-Won-Ton.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Irish Sun<\/a> revealed that John and Edward are making waves in China, where their self-penned and produced song, <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/AUUsRbLh2mA?list=PLMOgVONdbadfD7XIDQPIS5S40jfLotVtr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Free Spirit<\/a>, is being shown on several music video channels, including MTV.
