Out this Friday, 1 July, ‘We Won’t Let Them Win’ is the anthemic new track from Adelaide, South Australia, singer Kyan Burns. The track, which features fellow South Australian hip hop artist Boffa, and talks about mental health, and fighting back against bullies, or whatever it is you’re battling. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kyan Burns is Australian music royalty, the granddaughter of Hillbilly and yodelling superstar Zeta Burns, who is one of the last big top vaudeville performers still singing at 93 years old, and she herself has written and released her own songs, and performed with some of Adelaide’s finest musicians over the last 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New single, ‘We Won’t Let Them Win’, is a fiercely resilient anthem of self-belief, empowerment, and togetherness. Kyan’s gorgeous vocals ring strongly through the track, which she wrote while observing people struggling with their mental health during the Covid-19 pandemic. An incredibly relatable song, Kyan is joined on ‘We Won’t Let Them Win’ by Boffa, whose debut album, ‘The Deeper You Dive, The Realer It Gets<\/a>‘, released last year, was met with critical acclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A rock ballad which showcases Kyan’s immense vocals, ‘We Won’t Let Them Win’ tracks her journey through overcoming adversity and trauma, and sees her return to the post-covid music scene with a resurgent confidence. The message of ‘We Won’t Let Them Win’ is hard-hitting, but very much relatable, and should win plenty of hearts and fans for Kyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
