Now that everyone is allowed out and about again, it is hard to pick and choose from the overwhelming amount of live shows, festivals, and pub gigs. During the Bank Holiday weekend, it seemed like everywhere you looked, there was an event in full swing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On top of the grandiose Jubilee celebrations, quite a few festivals took place around the country. The one we picked was the local annual LeeStock Festival held in Long Melford, Suffolk, on June 3rd-4th with two main headliners, Ash and Scouting For Girls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
LeeStock made sure there was something for everyone on the two-day schedule. Pick a genre, and you’ll find a performer of your choice. In the mix of electric-influenced tunes by Ooberfuse and indie-folk jam sessions with the Dunwells on Friday, Saturday prevailed more pop-rock soundscapes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the acts we enjoyed was the Liverpool-born singer\/songwriter Kris James who has quite a year ahead of himself. For the LeeStock set, James did not disappoint with his catchy classics such as ‘Eyes Open,’<\/a><\/strong> ‘Naive,’<\/a><\/strong> and ‘Nine Lives,’<\/a><\/strong> all taken from his self-titled debut album. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ahead of the release, Kris James performed his upcoming single ‘The Way You Move,’ which is a certified summer anthem, out on August 5th. To spice things up, James included two exciting covers of Harry Styles’ ‘Golden’ and ‘Believe’ by the one and only Cher, which got everyone singing along. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The ones left wanting more from the Kris James’ Lee Stock appearance have the chance to see him again.
