On Friday 2nd September, FISHERMAN\u2019S FRIENDS: ONE AND ALL, the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved 2019 uplifting comedy hit, sails into cinemas across the UK and Ireland.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by the story of Fisherman\u2019s Friends, who rose to fame performing on the harbour in their native Port Isaac in Cornwall, the band are widely credited with starting the revival of interest in shanty-style choral singing, a pop-culture phenomenon in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FISHERMAN\u2019S FRIENDS: ONE AND ALL<\/strong> charts the next instalment of the Fisherman’s Friends amazing and uplifting true\u2010story. Following the unexpected success of their debut album \u201cNo Hopers, Jokers and Rogues\u201d we rejoin the world’s oldest \u2018buoy band\u2019 a year later struggling to navigate the pressures, pitfalls and temptations of their newfound fame. FISHERMAN\u2019S FRIENDS: ONE AND ALL<\/strong> follows the celebrated shanty singers through the highs and lows as lifelong friendships are put to the test and they battle the dreaded \u2018curse of the second album\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James Purefoy reprises the role of Jim, with other returning cast members including Maggie Steed, Dave Johns, Sam Swainsbury, Jade Anouka and David Hayman. New faces in Port Isaac include Richard Harrington as the new band member Morgan, Ramon Tikaram, Joshua McGuire and introducing Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May, in her debut acting role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reuniting the original film\u2019s creative team, Meg Leonard and Nick Moorcroft make their directorial debut, directing from their screenplay co-written with Piers Ashworth, with the sequel to the UK box-office smash hit based on the next stage of the sea-shanty singing group\u2019s heart-warming story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
