Not long ago we spoke with blues legend Albert Cummings<\/a>, having been blown away by his single, ‘Need Somebody’. We’re more than blown away by his new single, ‘Meet The Man’ – it’s a gospel song moved us to tears, and we invite you to join us in listening.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Blues is closely aligned with Gospel music, and Albert Cummings leaves us in no doubt of this with his latest single. We’re taken on a roller coaster ride of the very genre of Blues, stopping along the way at the altar of country, rock and roll, and even pop. But that’s the sort of artist Albert Cummings is. We describe him as a legend, and we’re not backing down from that. His lyrical honesty, combined with beguiling voice and wailing guitar makes him not just a compelling listen, but a captivating one as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Meet The Man’ is a melancholy tune about facing death, and the confidence of facing one’s maker in the life hereafter. Deeply introspective, there’s an almost sense of relief in Cummings’ voice, as he confronts the most important question of all – what happens after death? The music video which accompanies the track is magnificent and stunning, with Cummings standing under a spotlight, all darkness around. We are forced to focus on the artist himself, and what he’s saying, and in so doing, we consider what our own answer is going to be to that question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
