‘Say Oh’ is the new single from pop artist, JB Elwood, and it’s hard to believe this is his debut release. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The artist cites his inspiration as being artists such John Mayer, and Harry Styles, but we can also hear something of Elvis Costello in both his vocal and musical style. Nonetheless, JB has a style of his very own, which sets him apart as one to watch out for. He draws you in with his vocals, the instrumentals, the catchy chorus, and repeated refrain of ‘Say Oh’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JB Elwood, who takes his stage name from family inspirations, is an artist whose desire is to create and produce relatable lyrics and music, drawing on his past experiences for his songs. ‘Say Oh’ takes a deep dive into relationships, and wanting to have a connection that goes further than a one night stand. The song manages to stay bright and uplifting while tackling a serious subject: guitars, repeated hand-clap rhythms, and a steady drumbeat pull in the listener even before he starts to sing, and his rich and mellifluous vocals serve to draw us in further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Austin-based Elwood (with Appalachian roots), has also been influenced by family and past experiences when writing, which makes his songs relatable – songs about love, heartbreak, commitment, change, troubles, and adventures.
