The incredibly talented Baker Grace returns with her new single, ‘Shake The Earth’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Baker Grace is more than just a singer-songwriter, she’s also a musician and, as we see in the video for her latest track, an accomplished dancer. This triple threat is a gifted storyteller and illustrates her songs with musical allusions that perfectly describe what’s going on; the drama is only increased with the accompanying music video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s this storytelling ability that’s seen Baker Grace being chosen to contribute to the soundtrack of the post-apocalyptic movie,\u00a0‘Last Survivors (2021)’. Since then however she’s moved on and changed gears, now turning her talents to mastering mood alongside her gorgeous melodies. ‘Shake The Earth’ is in effect a short story, taking us from the attention-grabbing start, right through to thunderous end, holding our emotions captive the entire way. Each lyric has been underscored with its own descriptive sound, while clever arrangement and production ensure that the song’s meaning is made manifest. Baker’s musical talents are not forgotten either; she keeps pace with her vocals on the piano, with a subtlety and nuance belying her youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video for ‘Shake The Earth’ sees Baker Grace playing piano in a warehouse whose windows allow sunshine to stream in. At the same time, we see her dancing across the room with a male partner, the choreography telling the story of the song: a troubled relationship which has been characterised by passion, mutual miscommunication, reconciliation, and eventually, heartbreak. Every move is made to count, just like the notes of the song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
