In addition to her continuously evolving musical career, King is actively involved with environmental organizations in support of forest wilderness preservation as well as a range of political causes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Award is presented annually by the <a title=\"National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/National_Academy_of_Recording_Arts_and_Sciences\">National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences<\/a>, who also distribute the Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Previous winners have included Elton John, James Taylor, and Aretha Franklin.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Random Ad stuff --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2076862002005673\" data-ad-slot=\"3107208401\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">King was accompanied on one song by Berklee College of Music student Ahmad El Haggar, who hails from Egypt. They performed ea Middle Eastern-style version of Carole&#8217;s \u201cHome Again&#8221;, which was the pair collaborated on especially for the event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ms King was inspired by the MusiCares honour to invite El Haggar to write and perform the new arrangement with her at the event.
