The Waterboys<\/strong> have dropped the trippy video for their new single \u2018Here We Go Again<\/a>\u2019 – the third taste from their forthcoming new album, All Souls Hill<\/em><\/strong>, out May 6th on Cooking Vinyl. The album follows 2020\u2019s critically acclaimed album Good Luck Seeker<\/em><\/strong>.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Here We Go Again\u2019 is a rousing singalong whose freshness belies the lyrical subject matter. \u201cIt’s the idea we\u2019re living through a communal Groundhog Day. We\u2019re all looking at the news headlines, but nobody seems to learn the lessons,\u201d Mike Scott said of the track. \u201cAs a culture we keep making the same mistakes. All Souls Hill <\/em><\/strong>album is nine tracks of Waterboys brilliance, all mixed by Scott himself and co-produced with Simon Dine, who co-wrote and co-produced four critically acclaimed albums with Paul Weller. Announced off the back of the band\u2019s recent sold out UK tour and box set \u2018The Magnificent Seven: The Waterboys’ Fisherman\u2019s Blues\/Room To Roam Band, 1989-1990<\/em>\u2019, All Souls Hill<\/em> is current, on the money social commentary, but with an air of hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The album All Souls Hill <\/em>is mysterious, otherworldly, tune-banging and emotional.\u201d comments Mike. \u201cI made it with Waterboys old and new and my co-producer, brilliant sonic guru Simon Dine. \u00a0Its nine songs tell stories, explore dreamscapes, and cast a cold but hopeful eye on the human drama.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Waterboys\u2019 phenomenal last record, their 14th studio album Good Luck, Seeker<\/em><\/strong>, was released last year to widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike. The Daily Telegraph hailed it as one of their cultural highlights of the summer whilst Uncut, Mojo, Classic Rock, Record Collector and more claimed it as one of the band\u2019s greatest records.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
