The coronavirus quarantine of Spring 2020 provided many of us with time for reflection, and no less so for Kaylene and Lauren of the band, Keys And Corridors. The Akron, Ohio band looked back on two years of writing music and decided they’d outgrown their original name, so, in order to embrace a new chapter in their musical lives, they renamed themselves Goldthread. This was received with open arms by fans and followers, who have been eagerly awaiting the first single under the new name, ‘Tiffany Skylight’. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Goldthread’s sound is dark pop\/alternative rock, and draws comparison to the likes of Coldplay and Paramore, due to their guitar-driven instrumentals, and female vocals. There’s much more to Goldthread though – their USP is their deep, creative storytelling lyrics, which they combine with truth and authenticity in all their songs and videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New track ‘Tiffany Skylight’ takes a dark turn, as it finds its inspiration in a true story about a man so hooked on a life of pretend grandeur and riches that he loses sight that which is truly important, and instead gets caught up in money and status and can’t bear to lose it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rather than face his mistakes, he chose instead to kill his family. Goldthread wrote this song because they realised that his problems could have been solved, had he simply looked up. In his own house, right above his empty ballroom, was a Tiffany Skylight worth more than the debts he had accrued. Even though the solution was right before his very eyes, he still couldn\u2019t see it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
