Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, 23 year old pop singer songwriter Beau Hudson’s latest single, ‘I Just Came Here For The Food’ doesn’t take itself too seriously, although the track’s lyrics take their inspiration from hard times experienced by Beau in his younger days. The song is set for release on November 19, and can be pre-saved here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

‘I Just Came Here For The Food’ is characterised by a massive bass line that looms at the listener from the get-go. Beau’s vocals are laid back and languid, yet confident; the lyrics are forthright but there’s a sense of anxiety in there somehow. The scant instrumentals allow the bass and lyrics to take the spotlight, ensuring the song is a catchy earworm.<\/p>\n

Beau started writing ‘I Just Came Here For The Food’ back in February this year, and he worked with producer Lewis Mitchell at Universal Music’s Forbes Street Studio in Sydney in order to breathe life into the track.<\/p>\n

Beau Hudson’s writing centres on past traumas, eating disorders, and mental health, and he started when he was 9 years old. He had hundreds of songs under his belt before finally releasing his debut song, ‘Changing’, back in 2017. His first EP, ‘Sad Boy’, was recorded in 2020, with Universal Music. Since ‘Sad Boy’ came out, he’s focused on more light hearted writing, in order to more fully explore the lighter side of his creativity.<\/p>\n
