Singer\/songwriter Chris perfectly blends themes of social commentary, alienation, and self-sabotage, stringing them into poetic works of art that will find an emotional alignment with any young adult. Writing with intention and intricacy, Chris Mardini uses these themes to serve as his emotional liberation. He takes his inspiration right from the heart of New York City, and he captures the moody atmosphere and grittiness that can be found on every street corner.<\/p>\n

In creating his latest album, it’s clear the exposure Chris has had to artists from all genres, and this has heavily influenced his experimental style. From ambitiously fusing elements of punk with hip-hop and psychedelia to emotionally saturated tracks, Chris Mardini is bringing an out-of-the-box approach to the music scene.<\/p>\n

Opening up with an examination of self-doubt and judgment, the album’s first song is the track ‘I’ll Try’, with its grungy, introspective melodies, a la Nirvana. Deep guitar strums and soul-hitting drum beat breathe life into the track, while the music video takes on a graffiti aesthetic and is a fly-through of a decaying and abandoned building, whose walls have been festooned with lyrics in red paint. The video is elevated with smooth camera movements and colour-grading layered with performance footage of Chris Mardini on stage.<\/p>\n
