Out tomorrow, August 6, Clint Andrie’s latest single, ‘Ikaw Pa Rin’ is LoFi perfection.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Filipino artist, who outside of music is a licenced and registered architect, originally wrote the song in 2017 as an attempt to improve his songwriting. Composed around jazz chords, Clint feels that the Mercury Retrograde that was occurring at the time had some influence on the lyrics.<\/p>\n

The phrase, ‘Ikaw Pa Rin’, is a widely used phrase in Filipino, and translates into English as “You are still”, and consequently there have been many love songs written using these words. In Clint’s hands however, the phrase takes on a whole new meaning, as he sings of being unable to get someone out of his mind.<\/p>\n

The release of ‘Ikaw Pa Rin’ follows on from a year-long hiatus, and Clint’s beautiful vocals are the perfect accompaniment to the lush textures of the song.<\/p>\n

Clint Andrie first started writing songs while he was still in high school, and was a talented pianist by the age of 15. He joined the choir in both school and church, and takes his inspiration from the likes of artists such as Tori Kelly, and Sam Smith.<\/p>\n

‘Ikan Pa Ri’ is a welcome addition to Clint Andrie’s musical catalogue, following on from Clint’s debut single, ‘Anlala’, released in 2019, and his sophomore track, ‘Pampalipas ng Ulan’. Originally intended for submission to songwriting competitions, Clint’s produce3r Isagani Palabyab convinced him to release it himself.<\/p>\n
