Slammin’ Gladys are rocking on a rooftop in the video for their new single, ‘Hold Up My Blue Sky’. They climbed to the top of a warehouse, plugged in, and filmed the results, and with the brilliant sunshine and LA skyline behind them, they’re doing a good job of holding up the blue sky by themselves.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The song is instantly appealing and completely memorable, from the chorus right through to the end. You’ll be swept along by the big beats, the raging guitar solo, and the incredible emotion of lead singer David Brooks, as he tells the story of a woman’s desperate search for a long lasting love.<\/p>\n

The song is a focal track on ‘TWO’, their sophomore album which was twenty years in the making and one that has, since its February 2021 release, seen them win high praise from hard rock fans and critics alike.<\/p>\n

The four members of Slammin’ Gladys not only transform that Los Angeles roof into the best rock theatre imaginable, the clip also intersperses breathtaking aerial footage shot in Utah, Las Vegas, and other parts of California, taken while driving across the country among the shots of the band in action. All in all it’s a wonderfully wild ride from a bunch of veteran rockers who know how to reach for the sky and shake the earth.<\/p>\n
