OIM Records, out of Oakland, California, are dropping one track per week until release day, and the artists featured on the album come from all over the world.<\/p>\n
Astralien, who hails from New York City, is the latest, with his single, ‘Seriphos’. A “one-man band and production studio” who started making music in 2020 out of a love for 60s psychedelic rock, 70s funk, 80s synthwave, and 90s trip-hop, he dedicates himself to making chill, atmospheric music, as well as spreading good vibes. ‘Seriphos’, named for the Greek Island, is as laid back and languid as a hot summer’s day, and you can almost hear the waves sweeping up on golden sands of the beach. There’s elements of jazz wrapped securely in a blanket of synths, with piano, and rhythm guitar giving the track an overall 80s vibe.<\/p>\n
Given the range of creators, the ‘WAVE’ compilation should be regarded as more than just a collection, but rather a stories told by friends and family, that delve deep into the very fabric of who we are.
