Keelie Walker is like so many other teens, and is still figuring herself out; trying to work out who she is while dealing with the increasing pressures of growing up. Her new single, ‘Runaway’, the follow up to March’s ‘Girls Night<\/a>‘, is another single from the ‘Girls Night’ EP, and as usual, we see her as herself, being an uplifting inspiration for her friends, as well as those around her.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

‘Runaway’ is a more serious song than ‘Girls Night’, and reminds the\u00a0listener that no matter how hard it gets, you don\u2019t have to run away: you are loved, and things will get better. We see Keelie at the start of the ‘Runaway’ on her way to school, with her breakfast in hand. But we soon realise the isn’t for her, but rather for a neighbour. Keelie’s peers are all facing struggles of their own: bullying, an unexpected pregnancy, a difficult home life, mental health issues, and Keelie, whether dressed up to the nines, or kicking back in her favourite hoodie, is here to remind them that they can get through this, and no matter how tough today is, there\u2019s always a brighter tomorrow.<\/p>\n
