Pierre Porter is of Italian and Ghanian heritage, and was raised in the Bronx. Over the past 4 years he’s been making a name for himself in music, and wears his creative hat in every way he can, from being a part-time videographer to crafting his sound. He’s been putting in the hard grinds, and into his unique sound, and it definitely shows in his new single, ‘Marry Me’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

With a fast-paced beat, yet with a\u00a0vulnerable and emotional feel to the lyrics, ‘Marry Me’ is the perfect combination of rich and smooth R&B, while having the flare and fierceness of Afro-Beats. Pierre took his inspiration from couples who have become engaged during the pandemic; he felt drawn to write a song about the couples who have been brought together, and stuck together, during this challenging time. More than just a love song, ‘Marry Me’ is lyrically both instructional and motivational, a guide to anyone who wants to propose. Soaked with love, from the words right down to the rhythm, we just can’t get enough.<\/p>\n

Love is in the air in the video for ‘Marry Me’. We follow a young couple through the clip, as they venture out into the streets. Opening with the man waking his girlfriend up to ask her to marry him, we then join them on their journey, even having the chance to take a look at how they first met. Meanwhile, Pierre sits in their hotel room, narrating the entire night. The end of the video sees the girl nodding “Yes,” while a gorgeous ring is slipped onto her finger. It’s a modernised fairy tale, and the kind of love we all wish for, with the video perfectly capturing the vibe of the song, while heightening it just a tiny bit more. We feel that ‘Marry Me’ is just the start for Pierre; and we hope nothing stands in his way to slow him down.<\/p>\n
