Atlanta based foursome Goodie Mob write and record all their music together, and have been doing so since the early 1990s. Comprising Big Gipp, Khujo, Cee-Lo Green, and T-Mo, they’ve created a spectacular body of work by way of their big personalities and different vocal ranges.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Since the release of their debut album, ‘Soul Food’, back in 1995, they’ve been shaking up the hip hop world, with features on big motion picture soundtracks, along with solo work, Their latest single, ‘4 My Ppl’ will be a welcome sound for long term fans and a taster of what they can offer for those who are new to their sound.<\/p>\n

From the rhythm and beat, right through to the lyrics,\u00a0‘4 My Ppl’ is like no other hip-hop anthem you’ve ever heard. You can feel the song with your entire body. The song is broken into quarters, with each member of the group leading their own verse, flawlessly, with clean sharp lines that leave a lasting impression. Lyrically the song reaches a whole other level as they rap about the entire black community, illustrating the frustration felt, and how they’re fed up with all the excuses. It’s an anthem with an important message that you’re going to want to listen to and bury deep into your heart.<\/p>\n

Directed by Antwanette McLaughlin, the video is also anthemic, and is equally as powerful as the song. Shot all in black and white, the clip opens with the gang getting ready, and we are given sweeping views of the downtown streets, the members shown within the shots. There’s also picket signs visible, and what looks like the start of a protest. Crisply beautiful, the video packs a punch and is bound to impact everyone who watches it.<\/p>\n
