Out today for 24 hours only as an exclusive Bandcamp release, Amie K\u2019s new single, \u2018Pink Skies\u2019 is a stunning, folk pop track that will pull you in for a (Covid friendly) warm hug, and never let you go.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Indie folk singer songwriter Amie K started out as a street busker in Bath, where she honed her talent as a live performer and vocalist. She\u2019s since played venues including The Fleece (Bristol), Komedia (Bath) and Studio2 (Liverpool). She now lives in Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Amie cites Laura Marling and Maggie Rogers as among her influences, and this is clear in \u2018Pink Skies\u2019, with her lush vocals and silken harmonies shining through the poppy synth and acoustic guitar instrumental. The track maintains a tinge of Amie K\u2019s now trademark bittersweet melodies, but this time it\u2019s wrapped up in hope, giving \u2018Pink Skies\u2019 an uplifting quality. It\u2019s a beautiful song which you won\u2019t soon grow tired of, as Amie sings of the comfort and safety of home, and the succour it offers as a place to hide from the current world situation and seeming bombardment of doom and gloom news.<\/p>\n
