Atlanta rapper Frank Hugo knows what it’s like to start with nothing.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Frank remembers living with his great-grandmother and great aunt in a two-bedroom home with 12 other relatives, at the age of 4. The following year saw someone get killed. He lived with his parents for the first time when he was 7, only for his father to be arrested and sent to prison in the same year. Frank and his siblings were put into foster care for about 2 years from when he was aged 8,\u00a0 and when he was 10, the house he was living in with his mother burned to the ground, almost killing him. Over the next few years they were on the move, meaning he had to grow up quickly. He was framed by the police as a teenager, expelled from high school in the 12th grade, and had a shotgun put to his head by the police. What followed included a few shoot outs, being charged, and living in a laundromat: but when Frank’s best friend was sentenced to 20 years before either turned 20, he decided to change his life for the good. He went to college, graduated, purchased a house, and became an entrepreneur before 23. Nowadays, Frank Hugo is the CEO and executive music producer for his record label Brick Money Records (BMR), a real estate investor, personal trainer, event promoter, and tax accountant at his own firm that he has owned for ten years.<\/p>\n

In the video for his previous single, ‘CEO Flow<\/a>‘, Frank was not even trying to be subtle about how his boss mindset has taken him. This hasn’t really changed with his new music video for latest track, ‘Count It Up’, as his greatest dilemma in life is where to store his cash stacks. We see his crew adding up their bills, storing them in large bin bags in the attic, the only place they know is secure in their house. Naturally there’s beautiful women in the clip, there to keep them entertained, while Hugo takes occasional breaks from counting to spend (and flash) the cash he’s been sorting. Rolling up to the jewellery store in a Bentley, they are well known to the man behind the counter;\u00a0 Hugo and his crew add a few more blinging rocks to their already dripping selves.<\/p>\n
