Angus Brill Reed, from Adelaide, Australia, may still only be 16 years old, but he’s packed a lot into those years. Not only did he win the EDM section of the 2020 UK Songwriting Contest with his single, ‘Cutting Corners’, he’s also been shortlisted for selection in Eurovision, won the title South Australian Young Pop Composer Of The Year two years in a row, and won a wide array of other national and international songwriting awards, including a top ten song in the Australian Songwriting Awards, ‘Gone’, released in May last year. He’s additionally appeared on national TV channels, ABC, and SBS.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Angus’s new single, ‘Nth Degree’, sees the artist cover an age-old subject – love. He explores love without limits, where the chemistry in the relationship is so strong it has the potential to last forever. Reed pushes the boundaries in his song, wrapping it in an upbeat and fresh groove, with a trap breakdown, choppy guitars infused with funk, and a groovy saxophone, played by his *younger* brother!<\/p>\n

Angus recorded the initial demos in his bedroom, and then later worked with Tori Marshall, who’s worked with Fergie, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, 2 Chainz, Kendrick Lamar, Jordan Fisher and more.<\/p>\n

From there, Angus secured a government Project and Development Grant, which allowed him to get final production in collaboration with the multi-platinum selling and ARIA winning mixer and producer, Peter Holz, known for his work with Vance Joy, among others. The track comes with a fun music video, which was shot in and around some of Adelaide’s most recognisable locations.<\/p>\n
