Young singer songwriter, Sophia B, takes her inspiration from JD Salinger’s book, ‘Catcher In The Rye’ in her new single, ‘Catch Her’, the follow up to her debut, ‘Boys Are So Overrated<\/a>‘.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The track, which sees Sophia’s vocals float effortlessly across a simple string instrumental, is instantly catchy and relatable. The lyrics examine the world of the novel, as the artist explores the narrative from the point of view of the characters, while at the same time applying it to her own life.<\/p>\n

Sophia B, from the Upper East Side of New York, is no slouch when it comes to chasing the stars in her career. She is a student at the Vocal Studio of New York City’s number one Performance Arts High School, known as the “Fame” school, and boasts an impressive alumni, including Liza Minnelli, Robert De Niro, Nicki Minaj, Awkwafina, and Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet. Additionally, Sophia B has performed in leading vocal roles with Broadway Bound Productions, and Manhattan Youth Production, as well as the role of young Fiona, in a junior run of ‘Shrek: The Musical’, on Broadway.<\/p>\n

Sophia B is now focusing on her music, and has been working with Australian producer, Claire Protas, of Produce That Song, who contacted her after hearing a demo of ‘Catch Her’.<\/p>\n
