Out today February 1, ‘Tears’ is the latest single from alt-pop artist Ticky. Describing the track as having “literally felt like it was pouring out of my soul”, up and coming Ticky has taken inspiration from her life, with her darkest secrets and struggles becoming representations of opposing energies, such as light and dark, and good and evil.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The track was passed on by producer NiK C to Ticky in 2o19, who then added lyrics and melody. Her additions engendered a far more hopeful feeling to the song, which in turn buoyed Ticky’s own identity as a pop artist.<\/p>\n

‘Tears’ is accompanied by a music video which sees Ticky take on five separate roles, each symbolising a different dimension. This wasn’t a challenge for the artist, who was born with a strong passion for the arts, and was able to dance before she could walk, and could pitch notes to a piano without having a single singing lesson.<\/p>\n

Ticky initially trained as a ballet dancer, and on the advice of the head teacher at ‘l’Accademia Nazionale di Danza’, that she should attend a school of the arts, she moved to the UK at age 16, where she trained in Musical Theatre at Bodywork Dance Studios. This led to work as a performer on cruise ships, as well as Bollywood films, and touring Asia. After returning to the UK she started her music career, with inspiration from Madonna, Britney Spears, and especially Lady Gaga.<\/p>\n
