Set for release tomorrow, 29 January, Odyssette has taken 2021 by the horns with his collaborative project featuring R\u00e9n With The Mane. The two track release, ‘Still Young’, and ‘Racing Hearts’, are both retro and futuristic at the same time, with ‘Still Young’ having a synthy backbeat that reminds us of the theme music from Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

R\u00e9n With The Mane’s vocals are smooth and soothing, wafting over the instrumental track with ease. In ‘Racing Hearts’, she brings a modern element to the distinctly 80s infused music. Odyssette joins in, the pair duetting in the chorus, turning the track into a love song.<\/p>\n

Odyssette takes inspiration from the likes of cinema, technology, and space, creating retro-futuristic music. Using analogue synths, dynamic beats, and multi-layered melodies, we are taken outside the banality of our lockdown lives and transported to a higher plane. Odyssette’s first single, ‘Endless Borders’, was released last year, and serves as the first chapter in the creative journey of the artist, who’s previously worked with Mark Borgazzi.<\/p>\n
