The latest artist to take to the disco sphere is Canadian alt-pop star, Vissia. ‘On My Mind’, released everywhere today, is the perfect example of a song you can dance to, which also makes you think.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

2020 was the year of thoughtful pop, with Dua Lipa, Jessie Ware and Charli XCX releasing incredible albums which made fun and emotions collide on the dancefloor – even if that dancefloor was the space in our bedrooms.<\/p>\n

Similarly to Charli, ‘On My Mind’ is a homage to the sweaty club dancefloors we all miss so much, specifically locking eyes with someone else across them. ‘On My Mind’ is a song which speaks to the feeling of being in the moment with someone – a fleeting moment, but one which matters. It’s not the love of your life, it’s just someone cute who you share a few minutes with, and that’s enough.<\/p>\n

‘On My Mind’ is a worthy addition to the disco movement which is slowly being revived, the antidote to quarantine boredom, and a brilliant feat of storytelling through song.
