Palestinian-American singer-songwriter, Aladeen Alhyahek, takes his inspiration from Michael Jackson with is upbeat debut pop album, ‘Blue Flame’. Comprising seven tracks, the album, which has also been influenced by R&B, hip hop, KPop, and JPop, sees Aladeen singing and rapping, accompanied by a dance beat.

The album title is mentioned the first song, ‘Make It Pop’, while it’s also revisited in the title track further down. ‘Make It Pop’ is an upbeat and fun track, that will make you want to get up and dance. The second song, ‘Everybody Lookin At You’, is certainly influenced by Michael Jackson, with breathy sections and “woo” sounds – there’s even a part that sounds like ‘Billie Jean’, while the rap owes a lot to Eminem. Aladeen started out in music at the tender age of 7, putting down drums, piano, and vocals on a tape recorder, and performing and recording Arabic and faith-inspired music.

At 16 he discovered rap, and he further developed a love for other genres and artists, such as Stevie Wonder, and the rap styles of Will Smith, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, and Nas, among others.

‘Blue Flame’ is a great debut album, and will appeal to a wide range of musical tastes. You can stream and download ‘Blue Flame’ here.
