‘Grit, Gravel and Gold’ is the debut album from Welsh multi-instrumentalist, James Jones. Described by Eamonn Holmes OBE as “a very talented man”, James merges classical and flamenco guitar styles with pop melodies over 13 tracks.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Covid-19 pandemic saw James having to use creative methods to record his album, which features vocals from people all over the world, who recorded their tracks remotely. A true world music project, the album includes Nigerian singer Olawale, who won Project Fame West Africa, singing on ‘Never Forget’, ‘Christmas Passed’, ‘Superstar’, and ‘Fly High’.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Czech Republic artist, Koralina, sings on ‘Gypsy Boy’, a tale of star crossed lovers. Considering James himself is still only 21 years old, it’s an album of incredible quality and a showcase of the immense talent of all involved.<\/p>\n

James Jones has supported iconic folk artist, Dave Swarbrick, opening for the legendary fiddle player when he was a mere 15 years old. He has since performed as a soloist at BBC Proms In The Park, as well as a number of television appearances, including on MTV.<\/p>\n
