Released on January 1, ‘Cuts and Bruises’ is the debut album from Siimon, who has honed his skills over the years fronting Coldplay tribute band, Coolplay. The album has its roots in lockdown, with Siimon using his time to write and record, as well as demos of songs written at songwriting workshops in the past.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Siimon’s voice, breathy yet pure, evokes Chris Martin, but he still maintains his own unique style, and over the ten track record we get more than a good sense of his incredible talents. Speaking of the recording, Siimon says,<\/p>\n

“‘Cuts and Bruises’<\/strong>\u00a0became the perfect title for the album as it seemed to encompass many of the unhealed scars, unseen wounds, memories, thoughts, feelings and emotions emanating from the other tracks.”<\/p>\n

The album was produced by the legendary, known for his work with the likes of\u00a0Paloma Faith, Tom Grennan, and Olly Murs, and he’s ensured that its sound is of the highest quality.<\/p>\n

‘Cuts and Bruises’ is perhaps the perfect debut album, with the title track and third song on the album, especially serving to cement Siimon’s place in the musical pantheon. An album that grips the listener from the very first song, ‘Cuts and Bruises’ is the perfect antidote for these troubling times we find ourselves in.<\/p>\n
